告诉你SS和SSR哪个好

Dear reunion year alum,

I bring you greetings from Stanford with the hope that you and your loved ones are all safe, healthy and well.

As you can imagine, we have thought deeply about how best to move forward with plans for Reunion Homecoming 2020 in light of the pandemic. Based on guidance from the university, public health considerations and concern for alumni well-being, we have made the very difficult decision to postpone Reunion Homecoming 2020. Our current plan is to welcome all of our undergraduate alumni from the “0s & 5s” back to campus for a reunion celebration next year in the fall of 2021. We’ll continue to share updates as that plan unfolds so that you’ll have ample time to plan your visit.

We know many of you were looking forward to the event this year, but as much as we would love to be able to recreate Reunion Homecoming virtually we know even the most inspired virtual programming could never replace the energy and excitement of being on campus with your classmates, friends and family. While we won’t hold a virtual reunion event, we will find ways to bring classmates together online in 2020. We appreciate your patience and support as we develop these plans to acknowledge your Stanford milestone.

Let me also take this opportunity to mention the remarkable leadership that your class volunteers have shown, and how disappointing this postponement will be for many of them. These volunteers have worked on your reunion tirelessly for many months, and we simply cannot thank them enough for their incredible hard work and thoughtful perspectives. We are truly in their debt and hope you will join us in thanking them.

SAA staff will provide more information in the coming months about our plans for Reunion Homecoming 2021. In the meantime, thank you for understanding the need to postpone this year’s event. I very much hope we can see you in person in 2021—at this very special place between the foothills and the bay, where the Stanford spirit was born in so many of us.

Best regards,

Howard E. Wolf, ‘80
Vice President for Alumni Affairs, Stanford University and
President, Stanford Alumni Association
